Overview:
This is a striking antique Catholic priest stola, likely from the 18th or 19th century. Unlike typical floral designs, this remarkable piece features a vibrant geometric "flame stitch" (often associated with Florentine or Bargello embroidery) completely covering the front. It is executed in a beautiful array of multi-colored threads, including yellow, green, blue, pink, and white.

The distinctively flared bottom ends are beautifully bordered with a metallic thread trim (galloon).
The back is lined with a pale green fabric (possibly silk).
