Vintage Folding Military Table - Wooden Pine Top Trestle Base Green Metal Legs
Description
A vintage folding table with a substantial wooden top and green painted metal folding legs. A practical and characterful piece, well suited as a long serving table, display table, workbench or utility table.
The table has a rectangular plank top with a robust utilitarian frame beneath and folding metal supports that allow it to collapse down for storage. The underside shows the practical construction clearly, with the timber top fixed to a folding green metal underframe. The piece has a strong military or institutional feel and would work well in a workshop, home, restaurant or retail setting.
The top shows a mixture of wear, old marks and natural age, which adds to its industrial character. Likely mid 20th century, approximately c.1940s-1970s, in a military / MOD style.

Condition
In well used vintage condition, showing surface scratches, scuffs, knocks, marks, staining and general age-related wear throughout.
The timber top has noticeable wear, dark marks, scratches, old stains, splits and areas of rubbed finish. There are also various knocks and chips around the edges and corners, consistent with age and use.
The folding green metal base shows expected paint wear, rubbing and some oxidation to the joints and fittings. The table remains a characterful and usable piece, but is clearly an honest working item with plenty of age and wear. The metal folding hinges are slightly bent making folding and unfolding quite tight / still, but still workable and usable.
Would benefit from a good clean and polish, or ideal for refinishing.
