Vintage sterling silver Thunderbird ring by Wheeler Manufacturing Co. of Lemmon, South Dakota — a family-owned tourist and souvenir jewelry house in business since 1946. Hallmarked inside the shank with their conjoined WM monogram and STER.
Southwestern-style design (not Native American made) featuring a Thunderbird motif with a round blue cabochon set in a sawtooth/crown bezel at center, flanked by arrowhead accents on each side, stippled background texture, and an oxidized recessed finish with bright buffed high points from age and wear.
A nice small men's pinky ring, or fits well as a petite unisex vintage piece.
The center stone, while teal colored, is not turquoise — it reads as a synthetic/glass/reconstituted blue cabochon consistent with the era and maker, and is disclosed as such.
