Authentic Vintage The North Face Heavy Down Green Puffer Jacket
Up for sale is a genuine vintage early-1990s The North Face down jacket in a vibrant green colorway. A classic from the golden era of high-altitude mountain gear production, according to my research online it would have been physically manufactured in South Korea in the early 1990s, and is a Baltoro or Nuptse model. I purchased this second hand and do not know it's history so all the details are what I have found online.
This jacket features a unique vertical zippered chest pocket and deep insulated baffle compartments packed with 100% real goose down for incredible warmth.
Genuine Vintage Specifications:
  • Production Era: Early 1990s (1992–1994)

Condition Report:
  • Main Zipper: Professionally replaced and upgraded with a brand-new, heavy-duty YKK Vislon 5VS molded plastic zipper. 
  • Shell & Insulation: Excellent structural condition with no cuts, rips, tears, or loss of down apparent.
  • Cuffs: the velcro is losing its stickiness and would probably be worth replacing at some point.
  • Cosmetic Note: The exterior green nylon shell shows some light cosmetic surface soiling/marks from outdoor use. It would benefit greatly from a specialist down wash for a clean and to fully restore its maximum lofting power, however I will not be doing that to avoid any mistakes before selling.
  • Included: Comes complete with an authentic The North Face stuff sack.
Sizing & Fit Note:
The tag states Size Medium, but because this is a true 1990s vintage piece, it fits closer to a modern Men's Small (or a very fitted Medium). It features the classic shorter, cropped fit of early mountain parkas.
