DESCRIPTION

Delightful folk art crooked knife with an exceptionally decorative wooden handle.  Chip carved with two three-dimensional pyramids, polychrome painted in red and green.  Relief carved with initials "A S D."  Copper wire wrapping.  Blade is probably re-purposed from an old file or knife blade, as was commonly done by traditional craftsmen and Native artisans.

CONDITION

Overall very good antique condition.  Well-worn original surface with lots of original paint showing.  Rich old patina showing much hand wear.  Rich, mellow patina throughout. No damage or repairs noted (all visible in the images).
