An absolutely over the top victorian scent bottle.  This scent bottle is in the form of a barrel.  It was designed and crafted in Vienna, Austria in the 1880's.  The barrel is crafted from solid 800/900 silver with hand painted enamel work.  All aspects of the barrel are decorated.  A winged angel on one side in a red dress and a blue one on the opposing side.  The edges of the barrel are then further decorated with ivy leaves.  The middle of the barrel is decorated in a beautiful floral motif.  Each end of the barrel features a lady in waiting and a man on the opposing side.  The stopper is a silver eagle.  The chasn are original with a spring bolt clasp which has lost it push pin to open.  This beautiful bottle and the enamel hand painting is in excellent condition with minor use.  I see no indentation or repairs, cracks, or indication of damage, just light scratches from use, but very very minor.  There are no hallmarks noted.
