(they look extra roomy. Tag is clearly marked 40, and the laid-flat waist measures right around a true 40" (≈20–21" across). Golf America performance shorts often have a generous cut with some ease through the seat and thighs for mobility, so a size 40 can feel closer to a 41 depending on the wearer.)
