Anne joins her, and the pair soon encounter a peculiar boy linked to a Roman dig, eerie lights in a derelict cottage, and strange visitors at night—mysteries that deepen when Julian and Dick arrive.

The book is in good condition, tightly bound. The dust jacket is worn to the extremities, slightly grubby, unclipped showing 8/6. Previous owner's name on the end paper plus a birthday present inscription on another page. The text block is generally clean, free of markings and foxing. the corners and spine ends of the board are are bumped.
