This is a very pretty set of 6 small plates (heavy-duty restaurant ware) made by Jackson China, in a dark pink or red. The design shows a hummingbird in flight at a flower, surrounded by a rim decorated with red flowers and a wide red band. The heavy plates measure 6.75 inches, which would indicate possible use as breand and butter plates or dessert plates.

This vintage set is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are just a few light utensil marks or scuffs on the plates, with no heavy scratches or scuffs. 

The bottom of each plate has a "J" logo for "Jackson Custom China / Falls Creek, Pa., USA / Z5." The production number Z5 I think would indicate the year 1976.
