Vintage Richard Thomas Esquire Tweed Blazer 36R Brown Herringbone Wool Jacket

Vintage Richard Thomas “The Esquire” men’s tweed blazer, made in the USA by American Craftsman. The jacket features a classic brown and beige broken herringbone tweed cloth with subtle multi-colour flecks/stripes throughout, giving it a strong traditional countrywear look.

The interior label reads Richard Thomas Fine Clothing Tailored for The Esquire, with an additional Made in U.S.A. by American Craftsman union-made label. No fabric composition label is present, but the cloth is likely wool tweed based on handle, weave, structure and age.

The jacket has a traditional tailored sports coat shape with a two-button front, notched lapels, flap pockets, breast pocket, centre rear vent and dark brown leather-look buttons. A good quality vintage piece with strong Ivy / country / heritage styling.

No size label or fabric content label present. Size has been estimated from measurements as a men’s 36R classic fit.

Good Vintage Condition with age-consistent wear. Presents well overall with attractive vintage character. There are a couple of tiny moth holes on the lower back, shown in the photos. These are small and do not dominate the appearance, but are noted clearly. General light age-related wear to the fabric and lining as expected for a vintage tweed jacket.
