Vintage Magazine Rack Table - Ancient Mariner Solid Wood Canterbury Paper Holder
Description
A vintage magazine rack with an integrated rectangular side table, decorative turned spindle dividers and shaped end supports. Both practical and decorative, it is ideal for storing newspapers or magazines while serving as a useful lamp table or occasional table in a living room, study or conservatory.
Constructed from solid hardwood with a rich dark finish. The rack features traditional turned spindle galleries, shaped apron details and substantial shaped end supports, giving it a classic country house appearance. Produced by Ancient Mariner, a British maker well known for traditional furniture inspired by antique English designs. Likely dating from the late 20th century. Unsure of the exact age, but more than happy to help with any further questions.
Condition
In well used vintage condition.
Showing age and use with surface scratches, scuffs, knocks and general wear throughout. The top has light scratches, surface marks and areas of finish wear from regular use, together with a few small knocks around the edges and corners. There are minor scuffs and age-related wear to the lower supports and magazine rack, including a small chip to one decorative edge, as shown in the photographs.
The magazine rack remains solid and fully functional.
Would benefit from a good clean and polish.
We have tried to capture all of these in the photos as best as possible, so please study these as a good indication of cosmetic condition.
