DESCRIPTION

Wonderful late 19th to early 20th century Tramp Art chip-carved sewing or jewelry box.  Deep geometric chip carving.  Colorful decoupage panels beneath glass.  Brass carrying handle.  Domed velvet pin cushion top.  Hidden drawer on the front.  Rich original surface. A classic American folk art form with outstanding visual appeal.

CONDITION

Overall very good.  Some roughage to the velvet panels on top.  Some roughage to the interior paper liners.  Brass lock mechanism present and intact, but not functioning.  Deep, rich age patina (all visible in the images).  A FINE AND EARLY FOLK TRAMP ART KEEPSAKE BOX.
