This is an original 7" 45RPM, from 1969! Fun Facts About This Record: This 7" was released in September 1969, just a few weeks after they played their legendary set at the Woodstock Festival, and it was only their 2nd time ever playing live in front of people! Stephen Stills wrote the A-side as a farewell to his former girlfriend, folk singer Judy Collins. Crosby & Nash did not play a single instrument on the A-side, they only sang. Stills tracked every single layer himself, overlapping the guitars, bass, & percussion! Crosby wrote the B-side in a hotel room directly following the assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy in June 1968. It served as his emotional, socio-political commentary on the turbulent state of the US at the time! The B-side became an accidental anthem, playing at the opening sequence of the iconic 1970 Woodstock documentary film, forever cementing the song's association with the counterculture movement!
