Antique 1905 World Almanac and Encyclopedia paperback edition. Original printing, not a modern reprint. Contains 544 pages of early 20th century information, statistics, and historical reference material. Printed in 1904 and distributed by a Memphis drug company, as detailed below. Their stamp is on the front.
Filled with fascinating turn-of-the-century content including:
Front cover features a large advertising stamp/print reading:
“From the Advertising Department of Van Vleet-Mansfield Drug Company, Memphis, Tenn.”
Van Vleet-Mansfield Drug Company was one of the advertisers in the volume, and this appears to have been a promotional advertising copy distributed to customers. Great piece of Memphis, Tennessee advertising history and antique Americana.
Wonderful for collectors of antique books, advertising ephemera, Memphis history, genealogy research, social history, and turn-of-the-century Americana. Has a wealth of historical information on numerous subjects including railroads and automobiles.
Please see photos for more condition details. Shows age/use wear but in good usable condition, especially considering these type books were printed on cheap paper. This one is fairly well preserved. I have kept it sealed for many years.
