A fantastic piece of British mid-century industrial history. This heavy-duty, genuine aluminium catering pan is complete with its original lid and was manufactured by the renowned Grundy (Teddington) Ltd. These rugged containers were famously supplied to the British military, emergency services, and civil defence kitchens throughout the mid-20th century.
Perfect for military collectors, bushcraft/retro camping enthusiasts, or as a striking industrial farmhouse kitchen display piece.
Key Features & Condition:
  • Authentic Maker's Plaque: Features the original, riveted metal "Grundy, Middlesex" maker's plate, fully intact and legible.
  • Clean Vintage Condition: Excellent metal structure with no dings, major dents.
  • Design: Features the classic single heavy-duty drop handle on the side for easy handling.
  • Historical Lid Design: Please note that by historical design, the lid is loose-fitting and relies on gravity/stacking rather than a snap-lock seal. This intentionally allowed steam to escape safely during high-volume cooking.
This item has been carefully hand-washed but these are used and show a lot of character
