Offered for your consideration is a Definitive Technology 1 inch aluminum dome tweeter that was original equipment in my ProCenter 100 center channel speaker, USA-manufactured c.1999. This video-shielded high frequency driver may have also been used in other Definitive speakers from that production era, but the buyer is responsible for assessing its suitability for any applications other than the ProCenter 100.

So, please take a look at my large photos, the measurements, and read the remaining description to decide if this capable Definitive tweeter should be yours.

This Definitive tweeter is in clean, excellent condition. The pure aluminum dome is flawless, having been well-protected behind the acoustically-transparent grate or wave-guide. Plus, the faceplate has no scratches or cracks and the magnet cover is free of oxidation. And, the +/- terminals are marked for polarity (red paint side = pos) and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, this tweeter is very well preserved.

Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds great with detailed, spectacular highs. Definitive rates these speakers to 30kHz, which is a very impressive upper limit for this tweeter. Plus, I tested the DC resistance at 6.2Ω, consistent with a nominal 8 ohm driver rating. Lastly, the faceplate measures 4” wide x 3” high, it stands 1⅜” tall, and the mount holes are spaced 2½” adjacent / 3½” on the diagonal apart, c-t-c.

As pictured and described, this Definitive Technology 1” dome tweeter is offered at a competitive price.
