Antique Old Paris Vase - 16 5/8" Tall - With Bisque Baroque Figure - XLNT - 1840
This is a VERY RARE and spectacular Old Paris Vase porcelain vase with extensive gilt decoration and a bisque Baroque figure. It dates to roughly 1840, and is by Jacob Petit. The center tableau of the body of the vase is a house or church, and has light orange and blue highlights for sky above the huilding. The bisque figure is impeccably modeled and is dressed in baroque manner. This might be an homage to specific person and house. The stunning assymetry enhances the piece. It measures approximately 16 5/8" tall by 11" wide by 5" deep. There is no makers signature or mark, as is common on 70 percent of old Paris pieces.
Overall excellent condition. No chips, cracks or breaks visible on display. Light Manufacturing cracks in base. Some wear to gilding.
This vase is guaranteed to be as described and will be packed and shipped VERY carefully. Feel free to ask any questions.
