Designed and printed in house out of heat resistant (over 200F) and UV stable ASA filament, this is the bracket, USB extension cable, and audio extension cable only - upper cubby and Android screen not included. NO SCREEN INCLUDED!
Works with the flip open cubby as well as the nav cubby for 98-05 IS300 and Altezza, just unbolt the cubby or nav and bolt this in place. If you have the flat top cubby, you will need to obtain the flip top version elsewhere. This is designed to work with a generic 7" Android screen found on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/4fQxsXj (Rixvaxt Android Auto and Carplay)
I do include a 4" USB-C extension cable, as well as a 6" TRS audio cable, Male to Female, as the bracket is designed around these cords' fitment. To add power, data or audio to/from the android tablet, you must run wires behind the a/c controls yourself that will attach to the supplied extension / right angle cable. I suggest zip tying that cable nearby so that the weight of it doesn't pull the cables loose from their extensions. The screen is press fit mounted in the bracket - to install, you will want to insert the supplied audio adapter cable and run it along the left side of the display, push the cable through the opening on the left side and slide the screen all the way down - make sure the audio cable slides into the groove for it. Once slid into the opening, attach the supplied USB-C extension cable in to the power port, now visible on the left side of the bracket. Once attached, install the unit into your existing upper cubby. Run a USB-C powered cable and a TRS 3.5mm audio cable and attach to the supplied extensions you've already mounted. Use some electrical tape or similar to hold the connectors together, it is also a good idea to zip tie them somewhere that they won't rattle or put strain on the cables.
To be 100% clear, this is for the add on housing ONLY, no screen, no vents, no upper cubby, just the adapter housing to allow you to install the screen. It does not work with the older upper cubby's that are just flat with no flip open lid.
I also offer this for a BTI 7" screen and android table version as well - check my other listings. A picture of this has been included for reference.
These are 3d printed and although I strive for perfection, there are layer lines and there may be small defects that do not affect the operation of the unit, hidden surfaces will not be perfect. If you want to finish it - it can be sanded and painted or vapor smoothed.
