A very stylish Art Deco dress clip with lower border that fans out in a sunburst effect beneath the glass. The combination of the clean mid-green glass and the chrome-bright geometric border is an excellent example of the period's taste for bold colour and sharp line.

Dress clips of this type were at the height of fashion during the 1930s, worn in pairs at the neckline or lapel or used singly as a brooch-style accent. This is a particularly well-preserved example with good colour and a functioning double-prong clip fitting on the reverse.
