Pierced Nut Dish - Sterling Silver
Early 20th Century, 1 Piece

This exquisite Gorham sterling silver nut dish, also suitable as a bon bon or candy bowl, showcases the fine reticulated craftsmanship characteristic of early 20th-century American silver hollowware. Founded in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1831, Gorham became synonymous with high-quality silver production. This piece features an ornate oval form with intricate pierced scrollwork patterns and flared decorative handles, representing the refined elegance of the period.

• Verified "Gorham STERLING" hallmark with the Lion, Anchor, and G maker's marks visible on the underside
• Ornate pierced/reticulated design with decorative scrollwork borders and fan-motif handles
• Solid sterling silver construction (not weighted)
• Weight: 23.2 grams
• Dimensions: Approximately 4.5 inches in length (handle to handle) by 3.25 inches in width

Condition: Very good vintage condition. The piece displays moderate to heavy tarnish throughout, which would polish to a high shine or can be left as-is to maintain its antique patina. There are no dents, cracks, or repairs to the intricate pierced metalwork. No monograms are present.
