Gem Archer is a versatile guitarist who has played with Oasis, Beady Eye, and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, and is also known for using an Epiphone Sheraton™ gifted to him by Noel.
Epiphone is now announcing the release of a new artist model, the Masterbuilt Gem Archer Sheraton, based on the original Sheraton that Gem still uses.
The Sheraton is Epiphone's original design, first introduced in 1958.
This Masterbuilt semi-hollow body guitar boasts distinctive and elegant styling, and features Epiphone's highest level of manufacturing technology and meticulous parts selection.
The Masterbuilt Gem Archer Sheraton is manufactured to the same quality standards as Epiphone's high-end Inspired by Gibson Custom line, and features the same etched double diamond on the back of the headstock as those products.
This model features a semi-hollow body construction, with a five-ply maple-poplar body and a maple center block.
This improves sustain and enhances feedback resistance.
Multi-layer binding is applied to the body front and back, headstock, and fingerboard.
The one-piece mahogany neck has a comfortable 60s C-shape profile, and the rosewood fingerboard is fitted with 22 medium jumbo frets and adorned with beautiful mother-of-pearl block inlays and abalone triangle inlays.
The large 60s-style dovewing headstock is inlaid with a historical Epiphone logo and Tree of Life inlay in mother-of-pearl.
All hardware on this Sheraton is gold-finished, and the body surface has a beautiful vintage gloss finish.
The headstock is equipped with smooth-operating Grover Rotomatic tuning machines with milk bottle buttons, and combined with the GraphTech nut, which provides low friction on the strings at the nut, it ensures stable tuning.
On the body side, the ABR-1 bridge and the trapeze tailpiece with a raised diamond shape, similar to that of the Casino, securely hold the strings in place.
The electronics boast top-of-the-line specifications.
Two USA-made Gibson mini-humbucker pickups are wired to individual volume and tone controls with high-quality CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors, and connected to a Switchcraft 3-way pickup selector toggle switch and a 1.4-inch output jack.
Both right-handed and left-handed versions are available.
An Epiphone hardshell case is included.
