This auction is for a 5 piece vintage early-to-mid 20th century silverplated mixed flatware set.  The set includes 3 spoons, a ladle, and a knife:1.  The small ladle is about 4.5" long.  The back of it says, "Wm. A. Rogers A1 Plus Oneida Ltd."  Per Google, this was manufactured     by Oneida around the year 1936, and it features the "Meadowbrook" or "Heather" pattern.  The "A1 Plus" refers to it being     silverplated.  2.  The smallest spoon is about 6" long.  The back of it says, "Oneida Sectional Plate Laurers" and the front has "Wheel Cafe" on it.     This is probably hotel plate or restaurant ware.  The word "sectional" refers to the idea that the silverplating was heaviest     in those areas of the spoon that tended to wear the fastest.  The Wheel Cafe was a Cincinnati landmark which existed from     about the early 1920s until it was demolished in the early 1980s.  Someone probably smuggled this out of the restaurant!3.  The next largest spoon (with the hammered texture) is about 7" long.  The back of it says, "1877 N.F. Co. V"; the front of it says,     "Cricket" in cursive script.  The "N.F." indicates that this spoon was made by the Niagara Falls Company, and the "V" means it is     silverplated.  The "1877" probably refers to the fact that that was the year that the company was founded.4.  The largest spoon is about 8" long.  The back of it says, "Tudor Plate Oneida Community."  This was made by Oneida, and, per       Google, this spoon features the "Queen Bess II" pattern, which was introduced in 1946, and which features extra-heavy silver     plating.5.  The knife is about 10" long.  It has "Wm. A. Rogers Stainless" on the blade near the handle.  The handle of this knife is silver-     plated, while the blade is stainless steel.  Per Google, this was probably a wedding or cake knife, and is in the "Berkeley"     pattern, which was introduced around 1929. The winner gets all five pieces, which together weigh about 8 oz.  A great set for any collector of old silverplate or old restaurant items!
