Two large napkins in operated fabric, presumably in linen or damask cotton tilt

This fabric features a refined hand-embroidered monogram on a  damask fabric,

typical of luxury home linen of the late 19th century.

The embossed embroidery (historically also known as whitework) shows the letters of the family’s initials

intertwined with elegant floral motifs of roses and leaves.

Hight quality manifacture

Glossy and opaque decorative patterns visible on the white surface are created directly from the texture of the fabric, Geometric and floral patterns are noted with wide cornices along the edges and medallions in the corners.
