Professional DAT standard: The Fostex D-10 works according to the IEC DIS DAT standard (Part 1) and offers high-precision digital audio recordings in 16-bit linear quantization. With supported sampling frequencies of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, it is the ideal interface for professional studio mastering.

Precision drive with 4 motors: The mechanical heart is a robust 4-motor construction (2DD), which ensures extreme reliability in continuous operation. The tray loading system is designed so that the inserted tape remains visible to the user at all times.

High Speed Search & RAM Buffer: Thanks to the integrated 8M bit memory (RAM), the D-10 enables lightning-fast search and playback. Search speeds range from 0.5x to an impressive 250x normal speed, while a T-120 tape in just approx. 50 seconds is completely rewound.

Optimized head technology: The system uses a 30mm diameter amorphous ferrite rotating 2-head unit rotating at 2000 rpm. In combination with the Double Encoded Reed Solomon error correction, maximum data security is guaranteed.

Frame-accurate editing: Thanks to the extremely fine track pitch of 13.6 µm and the precise motor control, the D-10 is ideal for applications where exact start IDs and precise starting of audio passages are important.

Maintenance information
Magnetic tape storage devices (VHS, Beta, Hi8, Video8, MiniDV, MC etc.)
By maintenance we mean the thorough cleaning and inspection of all belt-guiding parts incl. Head drum/tape head. Particular attention is paid to the pressure roller, certain plastic parts (a common cause of failure) and of course the tracking of the recorder. If necessary, a comparison is carried out. Depending on the device model, we take other aspects into account so that we are able to offer you a long-lasting device.
Devices for optical storage media (DVD, CD, BD, LD, MiniDisc, etc.)
Removing dust, cleaning the laser unit, greasing the mechanics and even replacing the laser unit/laser mechanics are activities that can be carried out as part of maintenance. When it comes to devices for optical storage media, the laser unit is of course treated with the greatest care.

The electronics of the electrical devices are examined closely. Thanks to many years of experience, we can Fix type-specific vulnerabilities before an error occurs. The lifespan of certain devices can be increased enormously.

The devices are definitely suitable for living rooms. There may be a few minor blemishes on the front and/or the casing cover. These are barely noticeable from a maximum distance of one meter.

The devices are attractive. There may be a few small blemishes on the front and/or a few small paint scratches (no longer than approx. 5cm) must be present. From approx. At a distance of 2 meters, these traces are hardly noticeable. Fine superficial signs of wear on the cover are possible.
