Founded in 1818 in the Berry region of central France, the French porcelain manufacturer Pillivuyt is one of the oldest surviving porcelain makers in France. Established by Jean Louis Richard Pillivuyt, the company moved its principal production to Mehun-sur-Yèvre in the 1850s and gained international recognition through a series of medals at 19th-century world expositions. Renowned for its exceptionally durable hard-paste porcelain, Pillivuyt became a favorite of professional chefs, hotels, and discerning households. Today, more than two centuries after its founding, the company continues to manufacture porcelain in France, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern production techniques while maintaining its reputation for quality culinary and tableware porcelain.
