A superb vintage Rafael Melendez 925 Mexican silver jewellery set featuring a necklace, bracelet and screw back earrings with chalcedony.
Necklace measures 39cm long, it has 11 pieces with a square of chalcedony in the centre and 6 'coffee bean' shaped beads at either side. Each of the individual pieces of silver measures 2.4cm by 2cm, the beans are 2.4cm by 0.7cm. The chalcedony measures 1.1cm square. Marked 925 and a stamp to the clasp.
The pair of screw back earrings measure 2.2cm by 2.1cm. They are stamped under the backs but I can make out Mexico.
The bracelet is 17.5cm long and 2.6cm wide. The squares of chalcedony are slightly larger measuring 1.3cm. This is stamped 'R.A. Mexico' and 92 and the rest is rubbed.
The total weight of the set is 105 grams. Minor signs of wear and a few wee nicks to the chalcedony. Please see photos.
