Please notice all 17 inspected jewels are in raised solid gold jewel settings as
this is a grade 263, class 77 model 2 movement which is one of the best 0 size
movements Elgin ever produced make no mistake this movement is uncommon not many
produced. The serial number for this well damascene movement is 15,835,896 which
tells me this world war 1 cushion trench watch was produced in the year 1911 at
the Elgin USA factory. A new mainspring has been installed and I serviced this
gem to perfection so except a great time keeper indeed. The case is signed
"Scepter" and it is a nickel case and a 3/0 size with the serial number is
8,485,781 and agian this serial number tells me 1911. This is a leather band at
18m in width never worn not a bend. This Elgin is as clean as one can expect and
serviced the proper way. From lug to lug this case is 38mm ong and wide less the crown it is 32mm measured 3x's to be sure.
