Shimano DURA ACE Di2 ST-R9170 2-fold shift/brake lever LEFT
With their slimmer and elegant horns, the Di2 2 x 11-speed STI ST-R9170 levers feature improved ergonomics that not only result in increased comfort, but also improved control.
The hydraulic brakes bring a whole new level of braking control and reliability to the racing bike segment at DURA-ACE level and enable maximum confidence in braking performance even in the most demanding weather conditions. In addition, the new levers contribute to easier and faster shifting thanks to their shortened lever travel. Of course, the grip width can be adjusted for all levers, so that the grip position can be adjusted ergonomically to suit your individual needs. Racers who choose the Di2 switching system also have the option of using the E-TUBE software to switch the multi-shift function on and off for each button individually and to individually set the function assignment to each individual button.
With the R9100 series, SHIMANO presents the latest generation of the flagship road bike group DURA-ACE, the most advanced component group of all time. The new DURA-ACE is the answer to the question of many professionals and ambitious amateurs as to whether and how the current, already immensely high level of performance could be further increased.
At the top of the specifications for the SHIMANO engineers when developing the new DURA-ACE R9100 was to examine every single component, every single part down to the smallest detail and improve it in such a way that the rider's input is optimized and the output of the entire system is maximized. In other words, it was about minimizing the energy loss between the power the driver puts into the system and the overall performance that comes out at the end. Therefore, each individual DURA-ACE R9100 component is designed to work as efficiently as possible with all other components of the system. This shows the core of SHIMANO's philosophy of components developed as a system particularly clearly. The result is SYSTEM SUPREMACY – the superiority of the system over the sum of the individual parts.
