Antique Chinese Black Lacquer & Gold Painted Presentation Box – Tian Guan Ci Fu Motif
This is a beautiful and substantial traditional Chinese lacquer box featuring exquisite hand-painted gold decoration on a deep black lacquer ground. A red rectangular seal on the bottom “大明萬曆年製” (Made in the Wanli Period of the Great Ming).
Dimensions: 18 inches (46 cm) x 13 inches (33 cm) x 4.5 inches (11.5 cm)
Condition: There is visible wear, surface scratches, minor lacquer chipping and edge wear, and some loss of paint, showing honest age and use consistent with its period. Overall still very presentable and structurally sound. Please review all photos carefully as they form part of the description.
