Up for sale is this $2.00 Federal Reserve Note, Series 1976 Bicentennial Banknote, FR #1935-B*, issued from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. This Star Replacement note commemorates the 200th Anniversary of the United States signing of the Declaration of Independence, which occurred on July 4, 1776.
This particular note was issued by the New York District (B) and has the Star / Asterisk at the end of the Serial Number, denoting that this note replaced a damaged or defective note in the Serial numbering sequence. The note has better than average centering with sharp corners and pop through embossing at the serial numbers. I would grade this note as Choice Uncirculated or a bit better. Please look the photos over to judge the quality of these notes for yourself before bidding.
