Another amazing Edward F Caldwell clock. Handcrafted and twice signed by E F Caldwell & Co, this very large, heavy clock makes a real statement. Executed in the French Fashion with white marble or alabaster case, Bronze drum clock case decorated with gold gilt.

Overall clock measures 18.5" high x 15" wide x 7 1/4" deep. Crowned with a Wedgwood Jasperware medallion. Case is white marble or alabaster with gold gilt bronze decoration. Marble or alabaster supports a bronze drum-shaped clock case containing a Chelsea Clock Company works. Clock operates exceptionally well (see video). Stone is mostly pure white and in excellent condition with perhaps tiny rubbing or minute "flea bites". Only defect noted is chipping near winding stem on face. Clock is twice signed "E. F. Caldwell & Co. Inc." on both face and back of case.
