At long last someone has found a way to make a plug-compatible aftermarket battery pack (with Hi-Drain Li-MN cells) for most models of Rollei medium-format SLR: Rolleiflex SLX Model 1 & 2 Rollei 6001 Pro, 6002 6003 6006 6008 Pro and Integral 1 (see the list below for unsupported models). This is a complete aftermarket battery pack, no need to send me your dead battery, although I still offer the rebuild service if you want to reuse your original battery case. 

This battery comes with its dedicated intelligent battery charger good for 100V to 240V 50 or 60Hz. When charging the RED light is on, and when the battery is fully charged the light will turn to solid GREEN. A full charge takes approximately one hour and good for at least 10 rolls of film. It is not necessary, when charging the battery to pull it out of the camera body, you can simply plug the charger to the battery pack where it is.

If you are the type of person who uses heavily your camera in the field or while travelling, you will appreciate the ability to replace the lithium-ion cells yourself should the need arises. Note: only a specific brand of lithium-ion cells would work with this model of battery pack, please test them before making the trip.

NOTE: this battery pack uses a Lithium-ion charger. The original Rollei charger CANNOT be used to charge Lithium-ion battery cells.

This battery does not support the following models:

- 6001 RCC : 2000 – 2004. Studio camera for digital backs.

- 6006 Mod 2.

- 6008 AF : 2002 – The first 6×6 autofocus in the world. Highly programmable directly from camera or via computer.

- 6008 integral 2 : 2003 – . Updated version of the integral. Electronics from the 6008 AF, but without AF.

If you have always thought that your Rolleiflex is a great camera but a little bit TOO heavy, you will not believe how light this rebuilt battery pack is (less than 50% of the weight of the original battery pack!). Once you install it in your beloved Rollei Rolleiflex medium-format SLR (SLX 6006 6002 6008 Integral or Professional 6003 6001) you will enjoy longer shooting sessions, you will be amazed to see how light your camera now is, and carrying your camera around will no longer be a chore.
