Up for sale is an incredibly rare, highly collectible Postmodern desk lamp designed by lighting master Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs during the peak of the 1980s Memphis Design movement. This striking, architectural piece functions beautifully as both a high-utility task light and a standalone piece of modern sculpture.
Unlike mass-produced plastic lighting of the era, this premium design features high-quality fabrication. It showcases a vibrant Primary color palette (Bauhaus/Memphis inspired) consisting of a perforated red metal shroud, thin structural black metal stems, and a solid geometric wood block base painted bright yellow.
A quintessential piece of 20th-century design history that instantly elevates any modern, mid-century, or postmodern interior.

This lamp is in excellent condition. The yellow wood block has a little bit of shelf wear, but nothing major. The power switch has a dimmer function and works perfectly, however the plastic is cracked on the back. Please see photo. The glass light bulb cover is still in tact and can be removed from the lamp for cleaning.
