Chinoiserie Corner Tables – Black Lacquer & Inlaid Soapstone

​A truly striking pair of Chinoiserie corner tables. These unique pieces feature a classic black lacquer finish and are designed to fit perfectly into any corner.


Intricate Inlay: Each table features cream-colored panels with hand-carved soapstone or mother-of-pearl "shibayama" style figures and nature scenes.


Carved Detailing: The apron is adorned with impressive hand-carved masks (ogre or dragon motifs) at the head of each leg.


Classic Silhouette: Features elegant cabriole legs ending in traditional claw-and-ball feet.


Rare Pair: It is uncommon to find these corner tables as a matching set of two.

These  items show signs of age and character. There is visible wear to the black lacquer on the tabletops and edges, including some chipping and scuffing and historical repairs as pictured to the underside of one table.
