First edition in English. Two octavo volumes. Bound in original golden blindstamped cloth over boards, decoratively gilt-stamped on spines. Vol. 1 with small tear to top of spine, edges bumped, printed endpapers in volume 2, somewhat discolored. Overall, a very good copy of a desirable book by Huc on Thibet and China, beautifully illustrated throughout.
