This auction is for four vintage (early 1960s) Matchbox diecast commercial vehicles. All four of these toys were made by Lesney of England. These vehicles were made by Lesney as a nod to British Petroleum (BP), as BP was opening up vast new oil fields in the early 1960s, such as in Alaska and in the North Sea. This set includes: 1. Two Alvis Stalwart BP Exploration Trucks (No. 61): one has its removable yellow plastic tonneau cover, one does not have this2. One BP Petrol Tanker (No. 25): forward cab flips open appropriately; still has the steering wheel3. One BP Dodge Wreck Truck (No. 13): still has the grey plastic hook on the back All of the wheels turn easily. All of these have been played with and have tiny spots of missing paint but are really in great condition given that they are all more than 60 years old. A fine addition to your Matchbox collection! Please note: I am doing my best to describe these trucks, but please study the pictures carefully and I will happily send more photos as desired. Please ask any questions before bidding as I am not now accepting any returns. Please pay within seven days of the end of the auction. If you buy more than one item, please go ahead and pay for each item separately and when I ship I will combine the items and refund you the difference in the shipping costs. I am shipping only within the U.S. And please email me before leaving negative feedback and I will do my best to resolve any problems. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
