This is a Dana Design anniversary edition Terraplane X, purchased in about 1996 in Portland, Oregon. Very good condition for its age: no tears or frays in the fabric or straps, all zippers functional, etc. This is a big pack, 95 liters, and is perfect for multi-day expeditions. One enormous central pocket with a drawstring top; the pocket has a divider about 1/3 of the way up the frame to separate the sleeping bag compartment, which can also be drawn tight and eliminated with internal buckles when you don't need the full capacity. Two long front pockets, and a roomy pocket on the top, which can be removed, threaded onto the hip belt, and used as a separate waist pack. Also a small zippered wallet/document pocket in the top.

It's size large, and for reference, I'm 76 inches tall and about 230 pounds, and it's just big enough for me, but without any room to spare. Anyone smaller than I am should be fine. It's not a light pack, at 7.5 pounds, but it's exceptionally rugged and durable. If you don't know the brand, the founder sold the company to K2 in the late '90s, but then started Mystery Ranch, packs which are mostly based on the original designs.

Only getting rid of it because I don't do multi-day hikes anymore, and perhaps it can go to a good home rather than occupying closet space.

One warning: the pack is clean, but it does have the slight smell common to older products with silicone-impregnated nylon. An occasional wash in a baking-soda or light vinegar bath does the trick, or just a spritz of fabric freshener.
