DESCRIPTION

Matched pair of Alaskan Inuit / Arctic Native fur mittens (aitqatik).  Hand stitched.  Made from a combination of tanned hide and fur-backed animal hide.  Appears to be wolf hide, with lighter trim.  Thick interior fur insulation.  Traditional Inuit mittens designed for extreme Arctic conditions.  Oversized shape and deep cuffs allow them to fit over the sleeves and allow for quick removal.

CONDITION

Overall very good.  Sound and complete.  No tears or missing sections.  No broken stitches visible.  Strong yet very supple (all visible in the images).
