DESCRIPTION

Handsome antique 19th century copper and brass black powder flask.  Deeply embossed repousse shell or fan decoration on a copper body with a brass charger top.  Probably English origin, and possibly attributable to the well-known maker G. & J.W. Hawksley,.  Pear shaped copper body.  Brass spring charger with adjustable dispensing spout.  Suspension rings for strap or cord.

CONDITION

Overall very good antique condition.  Untouched dark brass and copper patina. Some minor dents and surface wear consistent with age and use.  No repairs or breaks noted (all visible in the images).
