Miyashita Zenji (1939–2012) was the eldest son of the porcelain artist Miyashita Zenju (1901–1968).
I am selling a colorful chawan by him. Early work of his unique glazing style that made him later very famous - made by applying layers of mineral dyed clay as a glaze.
There is no damage; the bowl is in excellent condition with only minimal signs of age. No visible signs of use. The bowl has some normal kiln marks such as iron spots inside the interior or mineral stones on the rim.
Comes in an original signed wooden box. The wooden box might show some signs of age and use.
The bowl is stamped with the artist signature seal.

Trained at the Kyoto City University of Arts under legends like Tomimoto Kenkichi and Kondō Yūzō. Inherited the finesse for celadon.
