Leather Cross Body Messenger Style Bag Purse JCrew 1980's Vintage.  

Purchased in the 80’s, from JCrew catalog.  

Well-constructed leather purse.  Made in Italy.  It has a long cross body strap (1.5" W x 50"L (measuring from top of purse body) w/ a large front flap that extends to the bottom of the purse and closes with a magnetic snap.  The purse is 8” square (8"H x 8"W x 2.5"D).  The bottom of the purse is actually curved but it fits up under the front and back which have flat edges so the purse stands straight up without support.   The strap is attached and runs all the way down the sides and around the bottom of the purse and then up to form the cross body strap.

Leather is smooth, shiny finish.  Brown color with brown accent stitching.  Look at pictures for signs of wear and tear.  The leather is in great shape, it does have some scratches, general wear, but I show these in the picture.  Lining is black cloth.  It is clean, no tears, no stains, no spills or residue.  2 tags sewn into lining.  J. CREW and one that says Genuine Leather Made in Italy.  This label was hard to get a picture of, it is along the seam. 

The purse weighs 1.20 oz. when empty

Good condition, very little use.  It has been stored in dry, air conditioned, climate controlled home, non-smoking. Pictures show every surface of the purse.   Pictures taken with and without flash.
