FERNANDES FJB-65 BLK 1970s
Description
This is a Fernandes FJB-65
This particular guitar was produced in the 1970s and is considered a "Japan Vintage" model. It features the logo that preceded the so-called "stone logo," and is estimated to have been produced around 1977-78. It has a sen wood body, a bolt-on maple neck, and a maple fingerboard. It is equipped with the original pickups. Weighing approximately 4.8kg, it's a heavy instrument. The heavy sen wood is commonly known as "oni-sen" (demon sen), and this particular guitar also uses oni-sen wood. The sen body has characteristics similar to ash, resulting in a tight, clear, and articulate sound.
While there are signs of use such as scratches and dents, considering its age, it's in relatively good condition. The neck condition is also good. The fret life is slightly low, but there's no immediate need for replacement. The truss rod has about half its tightening range remaining (approximately 50% of the total range remains), so it has considerable tightening potential.
