A fine antique Austrian glass, silver, & enamel table or dresser box.

With a cornucopia or vase form decoration enamel flowers in a guilloche cartouche. The rest of the lid has an ornate pattern etched in the silver.

Marked to the bottom of the lid with a 6 / 800 / Georg Adam Scheid's maker's mark / and another mark.

Simply a great enameled box by one of Austria's masters!

Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.

Condition Details:
Almost all of the exterior gilding is rubbed. There are some spots of persistent tarnish here and there and scratches & abrasions to the interior of the box. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
