Interestingly , these reels have varying anti reverse levers as seen in the photos and unusually , that plain metal lever which extends slightly beyond the body almost appears to be sprung , always wanting to return to it`s forward positon , anti reverse then being "on" ???? 

Bail on one reel works well and is "snappy" , on the other a little weak and slow to return to the closed position when handle wound forward  - perhaps a little lubrication may remedy ????
