This listing is for a set of three decorative wall plates from the workshops of Puente del Arzobispo in Talavera de la Reina, Spain; circa 1970. Each features elaborate blue scrollwork (volutes) and central motifs on a yellow background, hallmarks of Spanish Talavera designs from the mid-20th century. The decoration is completely freehand, in majolica glaze, without the use of prints or decals, but following the inspirational decorations dating back to the 1600s and 1700s. Each measures 11” wide x 1.5” high. They are gently used with no discernible damage. The plates are signed to the verso and drilled for hanging.
