DESCRIPTION

Fresh-to-the-market collection of antique and vintage ladies gloves dating from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century. Includes several beautifully hand crocheted and lace examples along with soft kid leather dress gloves, one pair in purple, and a single glove in white. Some feature decorative cuffs and fine openwork typical of Victorian and Edwardian fashion accessories.  The purple kid leather gloves have interior marks reading "PREMIER / DAVIS GLOVE" and "DOUBLE STITCH SEWING / 6 1/2." Wonderful group for display, costume, fashion history, theatrical use, or textile collecting. A charming assortment with excellent visual appeal.  

CONDITION

Overall very good.  All stitchwork appears to be intact.  Mild age toning. The purple leather gloves appear to show some fading. Sold as found and as shown in the photographs.
