Goniatites are Ammonoid cephalopods that lived in the sea during the Middle Devonian some 400 million years ago. They flourished for millions of years but were wiped out at the end of the Permian age some 139 million years later. They are the precursor of ammonites that lived during the Jurassic period.
Orthoceras are an ancient cephalopod that lived in the sea during the Devonian Period about 380 million years ago. The name means 'straight horn', referring to the characteristic long, straight conical shell. The preserved shell is all that remains of this ancestor of our modern-day squid.
You will receive this exact dish, which is approximately 160 x 160 x 30mm (6.25 x 6.25 x 1.25 inches) and weighs 550g. The stand is not included.
