This is one of just over a dozen vintage model kits we currently have listed, mostly sealed new-old-stock kits of various MG models. They came from the estate of a long-married couple of petrolheads. Another shared interest actually brought them together—ham. Radio that is. The pair of young hams—the YL then becoming one of America's youngest licensed female ham radio operators when she was just 15—spoke through the air for a year before meeting. Between them the couple was licensed nearly a century-and-a-half, each maintaining their original call signs for over 70 years! It's no wonder that their shared appreciation of technology and technical precision would lead them to collecting their much beloved MGs (with a side of Porsche). It seems equally natural that they would garnish the hobby with precision model kits of their favorite vehicles, applying their eye for detail at the workbench as well as the "shack" and the garage—a collective 150-year legacy of technical passion we are proud to pass on with this kit.
