Vintage Bates Fiberglass Tote Box in White color. Excellent, like-new condition. I don't see any dings, dents, or scratches. Includes one key for the lock and the installation hardware (four bolts, washers and nuts that require a special socket (also included) presumably for security, plus one extra nut).

The two red side reflectors have popped off, but they are included and undamaged. Black leather backrest looks to be in perfect condition. Inside felt lining also looks great along with the rubber lid gasket to keep the weather out.

Stored for years in a box. Believe it dates to the late 1970s or early 1980s. Approximately 21” Long (23” with backrest), 16” Wide, and 13” Tall. Existing hole pattern in bottom of tote is 3-5/8” x 8-3/8” center-to-center.

Bates sold these in two sizes, Standard and King; this is a King and I believe it was marketed as large enough to hold two helmets. Bates advertised these as: “Fits most luggage racks. Weatherseal helps protect contents. Sturdy lock and concealed hinges for greater security.”
