Antique Georgian Heavy Brass Box Range Fender – Fire Hearth Kerb - Victorian

A superb antique Georgian heavy brass box fender, dating from early to mid 19th century. This large and chunky fender would have originally surrounded the hearth of a kitchen or range fireplace. The flat top was designed to keep kettles, cauldrons, and skillets warm by the fire — a practical and beautiful piece of period metalwork.

Crafted in thick, quality brass with rounded corners and a decorative pierced centre section.

We are not 100% sure on the make or age of this, but are more than happy to answer any questions that you may have.
